Castaway is an idyllic beach resort on its own island in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands of Fiji, with 66 Fijian thatched bures in several room types that can accommodate up to 4 persons (family bures can accommodate up to 10 persons). The sunny climate in this region, combined with stylish accommodation, dining, lots of activities and friendly staff make Castaway resort a great destination for all types of guests. Location
Castaway island is located in the Mamanucas of Fiji, and easily accessed via the Tiger IV catamaran from Denarau Marina in Nadi, three times a day. (30 kms). Seaplane and helicopter transfers are also available.
Accommodation
Castaway offers 66 spacious Fiji Bures, featuring traditional Fijian architecture and modern interiors. There is a choice of location, either beachfront, oceanview, or island. All bures have a king-sized bed and most also have two single beds. The family bure can accommodate up to 10 persons, making it a great option for large families or groups. The bures have vaulted ceilings lined with Fijian tapa (decorative ’bark’). There is a refrigerator, tea and coffee making, and modern ensuite bathroom.
Dining & Entertainment
All meals are served at the Water’s Edge Restaurant and Sundowner Bar. A comprehensive meal plan (3 meals daily) offers unrestricted choice from all menus, including a selection of gourmet wood-fired pizzas! There are theme nights plus Fijian entertainment. The meal plan does not include alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and specialty coffees.
Activities
Whether you choose to relax on the beach or participate in exciting water sports activities, Castaway is a perfect holiday destination. Swim, snorkel, paddleboard or take a catamaran out on the lagoon. View the coral reef on a glass-bottom boat ride or go waterskiing or island hopping. Book a diving trip, fishing excursion, banana boat ride, or jet ski ride. There is also beach volleyball, tennis and swimming pool.
Diving
The resort has its own dive operation - Castaway Diving - with professionally trained dive masters conducting exciting dive trips aboard the 30ft dive boat ’Sokia’. PADI dive courses are also available.
