Description
Welcome to Taveuni Island Fiji - called the ’Garden Island’ because of its abundant fauna and flora.
Lomani is our own piece of paradise and we invite you to share our dream getaway.
Location
Lomani is located on the north-western coastline of Taveuni, enjoying wonderful ocean and island views and tropical sunsets. It is about 3 km north of Somosomo village and Naqara town, where there are small stores and supermarkets. To the north it is another pleasant coastal drive to Matei, where the airstrip is found. Also at Matei are restaurants, activities, small supermarket, and resort properties.
Accommodation
Luxurious Lomani Cottage is nestled on two acres of tropical gardens. There is one bedroom, featuring a king-sized four poster bed. From the bedroom is a well-equipped bathroom, or step outside and luxuriate with your own outdoor natural stone shower, complete with two shower heads.
Facilities
Outside the cottage are spacious decks on which to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Somosomo Strait. Enjoy private pool with horizon edge. The cottage has a large, modern and well-equipped kitchen with views to the south and south-east. A blender, rice cooker, wok and fruit juice maker are included and there is also a BBQ on the deck outside. Linen and towels are provided, a washing machine is also at your disposal, and all windows are screened for your comfort. Power is totally solar, including the pool pump and available 24 hrs a day. There is also a generator back up. Fresh drinking water comes from a nearby artesian spring. Staff includes Tukana (caretaker and chauffeur), Iniki (assistant caretaker), and Kelera (your personal housekeeper who prepares Lomani for your arrival.
Activities
Relax in your own 3 x 4 metre pool with infinity edge. Go cycling (two bikes are on the property for your use during your stay). Enjoy nearby beaches. Go sport or game fishing or scuba diving - all available via local operators. Kayaking, hiking, birdwatching - all may be enjoyed. There are many trips and tours to waterfalls, natural waterslide, etc and the staff will advise you on all that is available. The island also has a 9-hole golf course further down the coast.
